Transit trade · Istanbul
Trade that moves machinery from where it is made to where it is used.
TEMİR conducts transit trade in industrial machinery, equipment and industrial materials. We buy goods in the supplier's country and sell them on to the buyer's country without importing them into Türkiye, managing the contract, documents and payment from a single desk.
What we do
We bring the machinery, spare parts or steel a factory needs from the right supplier, with the right documents and along the right route. The goods travel directly from one country to another, while the deal is run from Istanbul.
No import into Türkiye
Goods are loaded in the supplier's country and delivered in the buyer's country. Where needed, bonded warehouses and free zones in Türkiye serve as an intermediate stop, and the goods continue their journey without being imported into Türkiye.
One contract, one counterparty
The buyer contracts with us, not with the manufacturer. Price, delivery terms, technical specifications and warranty conditions are set out in a single document, and responsibility rests with a single party.
Document and payment control
The invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin and inspection report are checked before shipment. We work with letters of credit, cash against documents or advance payment.

A transit transaction
Five stages from enquiry to delivery
- 01Enquiry and specification
- 02Sourcing and quotation
- 03Contract and payment structure
- 04Loading and shipment
- 05Documents and delivery
Enquiry and specification
The product, technical specifications, quantity, destination country and required delivery terms (Incoterms) are defined. If any information is missing, we complete it together before quoting.
Sourcing and quotation
Suitable manufacturers and stockists are compared, and a single quotation is prepared after weighing price, production lead time and freight together.
Contract and payment structure
The purchase and sales contracts are set up separately. A letter of credit, cash against documents or advance payment is chosen according to the risk profile of the transaction.
Loading and shipment
The goods leave a port, rail terminal or factory in the supplier's country and travel directly to the buyer's country. Sea, rail and road transport can be planned in combination.
Documents and delivery
The bill of lading and other documents are released to the buyer in the sequence required by the payment structure. The buyer takes delivery of the goods through its own customs.

Why Istanbul
A desk between Europe and Asia that catches both working days at once.
Istanbul is a trading hub at an equal distance from the markets of Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, the Caucasus and Central Asia. Its time zone (GMT+3) makes it possible to work with a manufacturer in the Far East and a buyer in Europe on the same day.
Our company name comes from this region too: Temir means iron in many Turkic languages. We work under a name that is understood in the same way across a wide area stretching from Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan.
